I would like to tell the world that teaching doesn’t end at 2:00 when the bell rings. And that it requires so much more than standing in the front of the room and talking about my area of expertise. I think that the public misconception of what educators do is only getting worse so I would love to see this site turn into something big, a “Dear world, this is what teaching really entails.” The grading, lesson planning, deluge of email and that other thing – working with students who are all individuals with unique needs.
