Geometry Courses: 2011-14. Classroom environments included honors, college prep (grade level content for a diverse group of students) and contained special education (students with math and/or language based disabilities).
Exploration of concepts precedes formal vocabulary instruction. Once I introduce vocabulary I provide ample practice using and applying definitions to solidify ideas. Students make use of index cards as reference material. We work with paper models, geometry toolkits (compass and straightedge), geogebra and other manipulatives. Students have the opportunity to showcase creativity in both problem solving and artistic projects.
